More hype for the new, less looking back at the old. Less bureaucracy. More government support and venture capital.
 
Why doesn’t Germany have a leading startup ecosystem?

Germany doesn’t have a leading startup ecosystem because the glorious past is too important. Fear of change has already been mentioned enough, but too often it’s also outdated values. That’s why conservative investments are still being made here today, whilst in other countries, money and courage are shaping the future, including that of Germans.
