What advice would you share with other founders?
Stay optimistic, but be honest with yourself. Be persistent and always open to new opportunities. But most important, have fun and do what you really love!

What surprised you the most when you started out?
After I quit my job at a big corporate, I realised how comfortable it feels to be an employee enjoying all the social benefits without having to care about German bureaucracy.

What would you like to see from politics and Germany as a business location?
Right now, large corporations in particular are creating opportunities for startup collaboration and support programmes. Politics should motivate small and medium-sized companies to work closer with startups by offering incentives such as risk protection plans and government insurances. This would enhance trust and the credibility of startups, facilitate uncomplicated partnerships between startups and companies, and it would strengthen the backbone of the German economy overall.

Why doesn’t Germany have a leading startup ecosystem?
In times of full employment, it’s too comfortable here - people are happy to work for corporates, earning a lot of money without having to feel stressed or take risks.
